*** Linux Mint *** The ideal alternative to Windows
Linux Mint has many advantages over paid O.S's & hasn't the privacy concerns of Windows 10+. Its overall speed stability, security & reliability are well proven. It has speedy & fast installed updates (you have control) and huge number of free apps available repositories.
Mint has a full office suite built into it (Libreoffice) which can work with your existing Word/Excel/Powerpoint data files.
Firefox Browser & Thunderbird email client, Hypnotix brings from all over the world IPTV channels, Mint supports your printers/scanners and has anti-virus and firewall built in.
Other apps like Signal, Zoom, Google Chrome etc plus other popular apps also run on it, and it can connect to servers & NAS devices on your local network or backup over the web!
It can be installed on old and new PC's alike (and even onto Intel Mac's too).
It runs perfectly on older laptops, PC's & iMac's so getting rid of those isn't necessary just because Microsoft or Apple makes them obsolete!
Dual Booted with Windows & Mac's so you can keep the current OS as you test Linux Mint, afterward the old OS could be removed if desired.
Mint runs many Windows programs:- Via either Wine or Virtualbox you can run Windows programs like Office, Adobe Acrobat etc!
